Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword

Warning if you are a fan of the Legend of Zelda franchise do not read the following:

This is the greatest Zelda game in the history of Zelda games. That is what I would have said if I actually liked Skyward Sword. I really don't understand why people love this game so damn much. I mean I just recently played it and for me it's just the same thing as last time. I mean I know you're not supossed to be bias when it comes to reveiwing anything, but I just have to be. I don't like this game and I didn't like any other Zelda game. First off I don't understand how Link gets to different parts of the world, everytime you start a new Zelda game. I mean is it possible that every now and then an evil pressence shows up and it's up to a kid named Link (who looks exactly like the Links from the past) to save the day.

Oh yeah, why can't anyone talk? They just make grunting noises and sometimes sing in a language that does not exist. I will say on a good note however they do make very good facial expressions to show how they feel when something happens, but I still wish I could here Link talk just once. Let me talk a little about the gameplay now. I must admit it is pretty good, for the first time I actually liked the combat, but when I wasn't fighting I wasn't happy :(. I wish there were more places to explore, and not having to backtrack the same places, just to dsicover that something else needed to be done. The dungens themselves are annoying. I hate when games make you think too much, when I game I wanna just do everything based on instinct not stop and think, even if it's just for a second. Pretty much if you love the Legend of Zelda franchise you've already beaten this game, and you absolutly loved it, and you wanna punch me in the face for saying such horrible things about this game. Ign gave it a 10/10 but it's more like a .1/10

 

Skyrim Part 2

Alright so my last post was pretty just why the reasons I like Skyrim so much, but it's like I said before, its not with out its's problems.

1. AI

The AI or artifical intelligence in Skryrim is terrible. I constantly here the characters repeat the same thing over and over everytime I walk past them, like on occasion a guard will say,"I used to be an adventurer like you, but then I took an arrow to the knee. It was funny at first but then it does get annoying after a while. Your followers are just stupid. They always are in your way when you try to attack something, talk to someone, and even try to walk out a damn door. But the worst thing of all are the enimes. If you're sneaking and attack someone with an arrow they draw their weapon then walk around and try to find you. If they can't find you they say,"Oh it must have just been my imagination." WTF you have an arrow sticking out of your neck but that's just your imaginatio.

2. Glitches

There are many, many glitches in this game like, the giants having the strenghth of 1000 men, and floating object etc. I could go all day with this but I won't so just watch the videos.

Yeah so Skyrim isn't perfect but it's still an amazing game. I'd give it a 9.0 out of 10



Skyrim Part 1

First off I just have to say that Elder Scrolls Skyrim is the greatest game that came out in 2011. It  starts out with your character captured by imperial, and being sent to your death when out of nowhere a dragon attacks and in the frantic panicing from the towns people you make your escape. After that, you can pretty much do what ever you want. Start the main story, join a faction, kill everyone in a city, or just explore. What I love about this game is the fact that you, have so much freedom. The quests are interesting, the combat is good, and there's over 100 hours of content, so it takes about a month to finish. I like the fact that Bethesda changed to the leveling up system from the previous installment of Elder Scrolls Oblivion. In Oblivion you had to make huge decisons as soon as the game starts, like what class your charecter will be and what sign he/she is born under which drasticly controls the gameplay though the rest of the game. Bethesda took that out in Skyrim so you can alter your character later in the game if you choose to. The graphics look amazing, everyone looks like a  real person and not a cartoon character. The landscape look real, as well as the buildings. Still the main reason why this game is so good is because it's fun to play, killing dragons, forging weapons, and occasially going to Whiterun and using the call storm shout to just mix things up a little. All in all in my opinion Skyrim is arguably the greatest game out right now. But in saying that it does have its problems, check out my other post to see what I mean.

So basicaly what I will blog about are videogames. I will review some of my favorite games from the past, games that are very popular right now, as well as, some upcoming tittles such as Mass Effect 3. I will give my own opinions about the strenghts and weaknesses of the games and I encourage people to commment if they disagree with me.
